About the Lion's Mane Event

SPONSORSHIP
This committee is responsible for establishing the sponsorship program in conjunction with NDCL President Sister Jacquelyn Gusdane. The committee will sell sponsorship and event program advertising. Members will organize the details of each sale including sponsorship benefits and ad placement.

SCHOLARSHIP RAFFLE
This committee will establish the parameters for the scholarship raffle. Its primary responsibility will be include ticket sales and incentives.

ACQUISITIONS AND PACKAGES
This committee will determine theme baskets and acquire items for display. Members will store and inventory all acquisitions and creatively prepare each basket for display at the event. Many volunteers are needed for this area.

RAFFLES AND GAMES
This committee will determine games and raffles to be held the night of the event. It will be responsible for acquiring supplies and prizes and for running each during the event. Some games may include: sideboards, jewelry raffle, themed specialty drink, etc.

LIVE AUCTION
This committee will determine and acquire 6-8 live auction items. It will be responsible for the description and display of each to be provided to the auctioneer. Among these items will be a "fund-an-item" donation for a proposed school improvement.

FINANCE (Check Out)
This committee will work with the AuctionPay software in securing payment for all purchases throughout the evening. The committee chair will work with NDES to organize a volunteer trade program for events.

EVENT LOGISTICS
This person will coordinate the activities for the evening of the event. Subcommittee chairs and members will be required for many areas.

DECORATIONS
This committee will use the creativity of its members to transform the McGarry Gym into "HOEDOWN." Members will be intensely involved in preparation the week prior to the event and will work closely with the "set-up" committee. Subcommittee: Centerpiece and Prep: Designs and prepares a themed "HOEDOWN" themed table centerpiece for each guest table. This committee can work at its own pace and provide the centerpiece the day before the event.

SET-UP
This committee will work closely with the decorations committee to transform the McGarry Gym into "HOEDOWN." It will be responsible for the order, set-up, tear-down of all rental furniture, linens, glassware, and any miscellaneous items. Adult and student volunteers will primarily be needed the day before and day after the event.

INVITATIONS, RESERVATION, RESISTRATION
This committee will determine the event invitation. Members work with the printer, address, and mail them. It will need to meet only once or twice in mid-February to prepare invitations for mailing. NDCL staff will record reservations and seating. The committee is also responsible for guest registration at the event.

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
This is a small committee that will work with the event chairs to establish student volunteer needs. It will recruit, train, and manage the students. The committee will organize in March and work with the students 1-2 weeks before the event. Some areas of need are: greeters/hospitality, table bussers/wait staff helpers, live auction speakers/models, set-up and clean-up.
